Yeah, ole Pete being held to an unfair punishment. I do not want steroid users in the Hall, but Pete did not alter his performance by betting and never threw a game that I'm aware of.

I saw Pete a few years back sitting at a folding table in front of a store on the Las Vegas strip. Signing autographs and making photos with anyone willing, for the small fee of $60. It was sad. He was the best hitter to ever play, in my mind.

Fair enough. Lots of great players who could easily take the best player title. That doesn't change the ridiculous fact that Rose isn't in Cooperstown.

The NFL and its teams expect to generate about $270 million in revenue this year from their sports-betting and gambling deals, according to a person familiar with the league’s finances. That’s only the beginning.
“You can definitely see the market growing to $1 billion-plus of league opportunity over this decade,” said Christopher Halpin, an executive vice president for the NFL who is its chief strategy and growth officer

Ahh, ok. That's a tough one. I still feel the punishment isn't fitting of the crime in this situation. Ray Lewis killed someone and is enshrined. Many others beating wives, habitual drug users etc all enshrined.
