Yeah, ole Pete being held to an unfair punishment. I do not want steroid users in the Hall, but Pete did not alter his performance by betting and never threw a game that I'm aware of.

He bet on Atlanta, while he was on leave and not playing this year. So he bet on his team but in a game he was not involved in even for preparation.

I saw Pete a few years back sitting at a folding table in front of a store on the Las Vegas strip. Signing autographs and making photos with anyone willing, for the small fee of $60. It was sad. He was the best hitter to ever play, in my mind.

He is a HOFer no doubt....

But betting on teams you are actively involved with..that is difficult for me...

You are so 100% right....i have same feeling in between my-love for Football.
But nfl has really sold its soul and the commish is ...to me...a spineless piece..

NBA....wouldnt watch ifi was given tickets...bunch of clowns

Ahh, ok. That's a tough one. I still feel the punishment isn't fitting of the crime in this situation. Ray Lewis killed someone and is enshrined. Many others beating wives, habitual drug users etc all enshrined.

On that note, it's a lot easier to replace a guy like Ridley than it was either of those two: a much larger talent pool today.

But...you are ...may be...in the middle where some of RTB members are not...and the world didn't get civilized ...according to them...till the 2000s...

Alot of nfl players back in the DAY....had to have off season jobs....
