🏈 The NCAA IS Investigating Auburn

The Keys story hit the 'net just after the story about investigators being in LA.

I'll leave it to you to guess where that rumor started.

Keys, as well as Sharief, have been interviewed and categorically denied being interviewed by HBO or having any inappropriate benefits being received.

Here's the thing. As bad as Shula wanted Tebow, (and we all know he spent nearly an entire day at Tebow's house just before signing day) if Shula was a man to offer extra benefits, he would have offered Tebow every dollar available, and Urban would have turned us in shortly after. Especially after the thumping he took at BDS in 2005 by a Shula team.

Someone said earlier that the CK situation would be looked into as well tho... that could potentially have Bama fingerprints, could it not? I mean I hope to God that nothing does come out, but all this investigation is just worrisome...

You need to stop putting that kind of energy on this. That's bad karma, friend. People put all kinds of energy and emotion into things that worry them the most and then they wonder why they come true. Think positive! Plus, can worrying and anxiety ever possibly make things better?

June 6th is the date being reported in the paper. 12,000 calls have been recorded. Defense wants them all thrown out saying that some were made between client and attorney.

As far as the Bingo trials.....I want to say that Milton McGregor goes on trial in April. Unless there has been some type of extension, I'm almost positive that his day in court will start April 4th.

April 4th was the original trial date, and Miltie and his army of lawyers was ready to go then. They moved to have MM tried separately from the other defendants, but that was denied. As it stands now he will go on trial in June with the others.

I whole-heartedly agree with you. Hell, it wouldn't shock me if Tebow were to turn someone in for offering him money!

Could Auburn be in trouble? Sure they could, but I hope they aren't. I hope it comes out that they're cleared of any wrong doing because I like it when our rivals are good. If AU is on probation for x amount of years and they lose x amount of schollies then the iron bowl turns into the equivalent of me wanting to box my 6 year old son. If half of what people are saying proves to be true AU will be in the dark ages, but to think they'll be hammered anywhere close to SMU is illogical because the NCAA regrets giving SMU the "death penalty" because they didn't think it would take so long for them to come back.

As for Bama and how Shula supposedly cheated I think Shula did a lot of things wrong, but that isn't one of them. Like what was already said if Shula was going to pay somebody he would've paid Tebow.

Off subject, but yes Saban was hired, but Rich Rod was given the job and he accepted, but then he changed his mind and went back to Morgantown. How happy I am that Richy Rod decided Ttown wasn't where he wanted to be.

I just want NCAA enforcement to be doled out fairly. You got guys like Dareus and AJ Green that had to sit, but Cam was cleared in a day. The Julio thing too months... Reggie Bush and USC...yadda, yadda. I absolutely don't want any kind of death penalty for Auburn - THAT would kill an awesome rivalry - and I don't think that would happen anyway. BUT if Lowder, Dye, McGregor, and Co. have been conducting funny business, they need to be taken to task for that. All of this shifty, "...depends on what the definition is 'is' is..." nonsense and dancing around the razor's edge is not good for the SEC. I mean come on, Dad shopped Cam around, but Cam had NO(!!) knowledge of it?! Please. Does anyone in the country believe that? That's the kind of crap that gets everyone to thinking that the SEC is crooked and gets away with things.

Now as far as the rivalry goes if Aubbie gets hit with some sanctions... You mentioned that would be like boxing your 6 year old son. Well, I don't know how skilled of a boxer your son is, but I do know that the history of this rivalry has proven over and over again that it doesn't matter who is the higher ranked team or who is so much better on paper. This is a rivalry game through and through and so often the team that should win, gets beat.

I disagree totally about hoping Auburn doesn't get hammered. A weaker Auburn means Alabama dominates in recruiting and leaves them our leftovers. A weaker Auburn means Alabama could have the six-year streak. A weaker Auburn means a dominating Alabama. A weaker Auburn means we win the state. What's not to like about that?

Quoted for TRUTH.

Is that actually true? I had heard that back then but the buzz was so high on Saban I didn't pay much attention to it.

No, not exactly true. We had one of our higher up's at UA pushing Moore to hire Rod, but Rod was given the job and he never accepted the job.

We knew of Saban's interest in the job in the middle of Shula's last season long before Rod ever was brought up in conversation. In fact, there were a dozen or so coaches who had expressed interest in the job but Moore had his eyes set on Saban before Shula had been given his walking papers.

The six year losing streak to Aubrun during probation begs to differ...and I knew Bama was going to lose almost everyone of those games before they stepped on the field..
