I compare waking up this morning after last nights game with waking up and realizing what you slept with and wanting to naw your own arm off.

Yes Bama won by 25. I suppose I may be a wee bit spoiled.

RTR!

It's hard to say, at this point, just how good a win this is. In 6 weeks, we may look at what Virginia Tech is and say, wow, we beat a very good team. I think Virginia Tech's defense is quite good their offense, not so much. Our Defense looked much better than I expected and our offense much worse than I expected. Obviously the offensive line needs to improve, perhaps AJ's toenail bothered him a bit as well but the line play was poor. The receivers dropped a few too many passes as well. Overall, we won and yes, we are all spoiled.

I get kind of annoyed at this circle the wagon mentality - I think we beat a very good VT defense that crowded the line to stuff the run...it also helped that their corners (Fuller especially) had a dynamite game. I remember being at the Western Kentucky game last year when everyone was criticizing and complaining about the O-line (yeah that O-line!). It's the first game of the year - we got good personnel, lets not throw the baby out with the bath water and give this unit time to gel and see how things go. I saw a lot of football yesterday and every team I saw looked sloppy and rusty - it's week 1.

Damn Bamadrill, you hit it on the head. I was thinking how to put it into context and you did it perfectly. Would we feel better if the game was like Clemson and GA, where both teams played very well and only won by several points instead of 25? IDK but we do have some work to do.

I was OK with everything besides the lack of rushing yards. That is a bit concerning. Maybe, we'll find that VT's defense is pretty good and they just sold out on stopping the run.

Point taken but with this caveat.

We didn't use our TE sets against WKU if I recall correctly...and pretty sure I am.
