Bryson is quirky, but the guy loves golf. He loves the fans, and he's more of a football guy in a golfers body with how his testosterone flows. A little Happy Gilmore (loose and good with the patrons), a little Arnold Palmer (studies the game and dialed in with his clubs), and a little Tiger Woods (focused on his game and winning).
It's a lot like Pat McAfee for me. Could not stand the guy for the longest time. Had his time with Saban and cooled it down a little bit, atleast with the shows I watched with him. Bryson was an arrogant know it all when he came on and standoffish. Over the last few years he has won and loosened up a lot and become a fan favorite. He has changed his game and evolved into a guy I can pull for. I see zero difference in his transition than I did Tiger Woods'. Tiger just had years of a dominant run in him where he was an asshole for MUCH longer than Bryson. He just got away with it because he won at Augusta, had Nike in his back pocket, and everyone bought into him being a black golfer and the blind sheep fans worshiped at his feet. Terrible human being as well depicted over the years, but atleast now he has taken a different approach and a more likeable guy. I think finally maturing mentally and most of it doing with his kids growing up helped him a lot. That was a strained relationship for a LONG time. Add in the drugs, death of his dad, now his momma as well and I think it finally just hit him.
