No one watches the Eagles.Well...if remember right.....Tebow also started and won a playoff game.....a lot of hot shot QBs coming out of college cant say that........ a lot happened to being his commitments to life...and liberal idiot team fan base...and
The style of QB doesnt last long anyway vs those visious hitting LB and DBs...
Did you really just blame Tebow not playing anymore on liberals? That is a new low right there. Tim Tebow is not playing in the NFL right now because he simply couldn't fix his technique, magically create a stronger arm and refused to change positions. Blaming "liberals" is just silly, especially the Bronco fan base. They loved him. John Elway loved him as a person but knew things were going to go down hill. Go watch tape of any team the Broncos played twice that year. In those first games Tebow would suck for 3 1/2 quarters. The defense would keep them in it and then when the other team went to prevent defense Tebow started to make things happen. Part of it, finishing, was def. Tebow's heart, but when they would play the next time (Patriots, Chiefs, etc.) they would just come at him relentlessly the entire game and he was atrocious in all those games.
It wasn't "liberals" that got him cut from the Jets, either nor was it "liberals" that him cut from the Patriots when he was throwing picks against third string defenders in the pre-season. He was flat out a bad NFL QB. Period.
"BAD QB". He wasnt a great QB but not bad either ( its what you base good and bad on...as a player) kinda like Jalen. But you dont like him...wonder why?
He was a bad NFL QB, period. That's pretty much consensus at this point. Why do you think I personally dislike Tebow? I didn't like him when he was at Florida, because he was at Florida. Other than that I just thought he was a pretty terrible QB in the NFL and the people that simply wanted him to be a star because of his faith annoyed me but that's not his fault. He was an incredible college player, though. Never denied that. He fit Urban Meyer's system perfectly and the things he could do were maximized in that system. He didn't have to be super accurate or have a super strong arm in that system. He could have shitty mechanics and technique and pretty much be a big ass fullback that was damn near unstoppable to stop on the run that could also hurt you in the air, too. You can't get away with that in the NFL.
Idk, Randle Cunningham says you CAN do it.
Comparing Randall Cunningham to Tim Tebow is pretty damn silly dont you think? Just because Cunningham could scramble doesn't mean he had shit mechanics (he didnt), a noodle arm (he had an extremely strong arm) and wasn't accurate (he led the NFL in completion percentage and QB rating in multiple years). He was a freaking NFL MVP.
And Cunningham was more in the Michael Vick mold of being elusive/fast/freaky athletic, Tebow was more bruising than anything else. Dude was damn near 250. Those two are nothing alike.
Your last statement implies that you couldn't run as a QB in the NFL.
You're too young of a buck, but I actually watched the NFL back in the 80s and 90s. Sure, Cunningham wasn't a "running QB" by Tebow measures, but he DID get his fair share of positive chunk yardage by a lot of times "fullbacking" over quite a few defenders.
So it CAN be done, but you have to have a special arm to do it (being a "running" QB, and not just a freak athlete/runner that happens to have a serviceable arm like Tebow). Tebow did NOT, whereas Cunningham did.
That's not what I said... at all... I compared him to a fullback and said you couldn't do what he was doing in college in the NFL. That was not Cunningham's game and I very much remember him. More for his Vikings, post knee injury days, but I got a chance to see Cunningham juke plenty of guys out of their cleats.
Then you never saw him with the Eagles then, in his heyday.
Where is @PhillyGirl ? Haven't seen much of her in months. Everything alright?
