| FTBL The Iron Bowl from a British POV

Yes, nothing like a condescending, metrosexual Brit. Notice how he puffs up and pooh-pooh's God Bless America at the end of the video?

This is because British people are taught that to have pride in one's country is simple minded and boorish. They imagine that by singing that song, it means Americans are ready to murder and savage anyone that looks at them cross-eyed.

We are what they derisively call jingoistic Yanks. Not Alabamian's specifically, but all Americans. Patriotism is frowned upon and they view it as only for the simple minded, much as they view people in the same way if they happen to be religious.

If the fool really wanted to see absurdity, he should have stayed home and caught a "soccer" game. By doing that, he could have seen stabbings, murders, riots, and rapes all in a good night's time at one of their sophisticated and highly refined games.

These clowns have made an industry out of coming to the United States and doing so called documentaries of us, like this guy is doing.

I am sure he made many stops on his trip across America and will take all the footage back with him and they will make a little show out of it. That is their big thing now. It is sort of like reality TV for them. It is done to ridicule us.

Perhaps we should start going over there and doing documentaries on Londonistan and how horrifyingly stupid their lives would seem to the average American. It would make for good television here.

A friend of mine was working on his PhD in Historic Theology at The University of Manchester, and he was walking down the street in front of a massive Anglican Cathedral. He struck up a conversation with a 20-something woman and asked her if she attended the Anglican Church. She replied "whats that?" He told her that it was the church of England, to which she replied, "I didn't know we had our own church." Think about it...they were standing outside of a massive, centuries old cathedral.

Amazing, and England has no separation of church and state. The Anglican Church is the official national church, and Christianity the national religion.

A lot of "non-football loving" folks, including Americans, think the whole scene is way over the top. They just don't know what they're missing.

Great Video. I always enjoy hearing other perspectives, even if they are misguided.

Kirk, isn't harassment of other posters against RTB guidelines? I have had my hands tied as far as how I may respond to posters like this.

I would like for similiar actions as have been taken against me to be taken to keep posters such as this from thinking they can screw with me.

If my hands are tied, I would appreciate some assistance. He is posting in a personal manner and is not on topic.

Thanks.
