🏈 The importance of the LSU game cannot be overstated.

Falling to #3 in the BCS this week gets garners our players attention and Bama rebounds to #2 and #1 in the BCS and AP respectively after soundly defeating LSU. Only to lose those rankings next weekend with a poor performance and narrow win over Miss State.

There has been a constant barrage of opponents that were supposedly bigger than the last in Bama's schedule this year. It's the pressure that comes with success. I feel strongly that we can win out, and even beat Florida. This team has that type of talent, and that type of coaching. It's all there.

But, boys and girls, LSU is no small order. They are good, they are fast, they are deep. Aside from just not performing at their best early in the schedule, they've been pounding people. They killed Auburn, smashed Tulane. They played very hard against Florida and made them work for it. They've beaten everyone else they've played, ugly or not. Kind of like us, except we played our better ball early in the year.

I see the game as a virtual draw. I expect overtime again. I expect their outstanding receivers to work our secondary very hard. I expect that we will have to use our linebackers a lot to pressure Jefferson, and to deal with Scott, and don't forget his back-up, Williams.

Roll Tide Bama.
