Here we go with the official good, bad and ugly thread for the 2015 season. For the newbies, list only one thing in each category.

Good- our defense against the run.

Bad- DB play

Ugly- special teams; Field goals and punting.

Good- D line is as advertised. Stuffed the run and forced Wisky out of their element.

Bad- kicking game! Griffith needs some one on one with Dr. Elko or some other shrink! I can't recall the last time we averaged 36 yards a punt!!

Ugly- split on this one. 2nd team O line and Ty Flourny-Smith blocking. Both seemed uninspired. The second and possibly worst thing was the officiating on the back end when it came to PI calls. The RB that stiff armed Dion Hamilton on the wheel route and Dion got called for it was terrible! Only to be outdone by the flag on Minka that put them at the 2 on their last TD.

Good: Bama won the game.

Bad: Short pass the def. just couldn't stop it.

Ugly: Flag all over the field way over 100yp. that just to much, PF was the biggest. I think was had 3 or 4 of those.

The Good: Jacob Coker. Could easily go with Henry, but that's an easy given. Coker protected the ball and managed the game exactly like we needed. He will get better on his deep ball and better understand the speed of the game and his receivers, who are faaaast. Can't express how pleased I was with his efforts considering we didn't know what the hell to expect.

The Bad: I will say the pass coverage, but it wasn't horrible. The short passes hurt us, but we stood up strong against the run and deep ball allowing us to bend but not break. I ate even saying this was bad, but I had to put something here and this was the only unfortunate part of the game other than penalties. I think we'll get better, but I like how the defense settled in and clamped down.

The Ugly: The penalties. A couple of pass interference calls were straight BS, but they also know they need to turn their head or it's a flag. Unfortunate part of the game these days, but it's like hitting above the shoulders and you have to evolve. The holding by the line was pretty bad, but hey, first game and just gotta get used to game speed and be ready.

Better strap it on boys, because in a couple of weeks we have Ole Miss coming to town and the real competition starts and the schedule will only be getting tougher. Roll Tide.

The Good: Jacob Coker. Considering that we were hearing how awful he was during practices and scrimmages I think he now deserves some kudos for playing a solid (not spectacular) game. Defensive front seven is stout in the run game and very fast in space on the edges. Derrick Henry and Kenyan Drake were very good. The OL's run blocking needs some kudos.

The Bad: Nothing in this game showed me our secondary has improved from last season. Granted, it was the first game and a small sample size. But IMO if we would have faced a passing team we would have been lit up. OL pass protection and penalties. We cannot have this problem when we get into SEC play or we'll lose the game. Plain and simple.

The Ugly: Adam Griffith & JK Scott. I don't know who we have on the bench but I think we're at a point now where it is time to start considering replacing him. JK Scott shocked me. I never would have expected his performance last night. The second string OL looked awful. Plain and simple. That was embarrassing.
