When a team is in the kicking formation a defensive player can't hit the center until one second after the ball is snapped.

I disagree that they have done a poor job calling this game. In fact, I was impressed with the particularly GOOD call of a chop block on Gillislee that brought back that TD. Highlight of the game for me, actually. Especially considering I turned it off shortly after that when things got out of control
