"First, I want to thank all of the people that came out tonight. We had a great crowd, really great weather and a great opponent. It was a fun way to open this tournament and battle through some stuff. We came through in the end and a freshman hit the home run to win it. I'm just really proud of this team and the effort they gave tonight. It was seven really hard-fought innings tonight."
