🏈 The continuing rumors of Saban and Texas

I just cant worry over this. I refuse to get caught up in the circus. Alabama will be ok with or without Coach Saban.
i would rather he stay and finish the process, bring a few more championships, retire, and sit along side Coach Bryant as the men of Alabama football. There will be another coach to come here and win that is a given, and its not like Bama football won't survive.

My gut tells me he isn't going anywhere.

Kind of what I was saying when I started this thread. Agree 100%!

Over the years bro, we have endured Perkins, Curry, Dubose, Fran, Price, and Shula. What remained constant was that we still won with these guys, and didnt even have the beef we have now. In the midst of that was Coach Stallings. The thing that kills me, we could of had Bowden at some point, and I think he would of racked up some Championships too. Alabama will be ok, people come to Alabama for the tradition and history as much as they come to win. Putting on that Crimson jersey is more than just winning, it brings a attitude of Champions.

I read somewhere that Coach Saban isn't the type that asks for raises, hes the type that produces the product and believes that the raise should come without asking for it. Can't for the life of me remember where I read that but I know I did. This isn't rocket science, I am quite sure Coach Saban knows what he is doing and in the near future it will all work out.

i agree with you birdman. the analcysts keep talking about saban's agent using this as leverage to get more money. hell if saban wants 10 million give it to him, it is only pennies on the dollar of what he brings to the university.

Saban probably signed with Sexton because he knows that Sexton's strength is doing exactly what he is doing. He's the best coaching agent in the game. If Saban wanted money UT would know about it by now and they would likely make an offer that Alabama probably couldn't match. It doesn't seem like he is motivated by money. He's already the highest paid coach in college football.

Win a few more championships, retire, and sit along side Coach Bryant as the men of Alabama football?! Perhaps Nick Saban would like to win a few more championships, retire, and sit atop of all of college football and the greatest ever.

The things is, you can still be considered the greatest ever right there at Alabama and sit along some of the men of Alabama who WERE the greatest ever.

Why would he go to Texas and lose to Alabama, Old Timer? Furthermore, your dysfunctional family appears unbecoming to those of us witnessing the train wreck. Thank for your participation though. Why is your avatar a uterus and fallopian tubes? ; Welcome to the board.

Or you can unequivocally be the greatest ever after becoming the only coach in the history of football to win National Championships at 3 different schools.

Why are you even here? What a sad, vacuous life you must have to be compelled to try to convince Bama you are taking their coach. If you're so sure you got him, why waste time on a Bama board when you should be celebrating with your Texas brethren?

Then he could coach the Cowboys to the Super Bowl title and re-build the Astros. Imagine the legacy that 5 College Championships, a Super Bowl title and a World Series trophy would bring. Then he could finally retire and be a best selling author with those children's books he's been dabbling with. If there's 2 things I know about Nick Saban... It's, he's a shitty driver and he can't sleep at night because he's worried to death about his legacy.

"Sit atop of all college football". Really. Here are some of our history and I'll surely put it up against TX anytime. See below.

As of the completion of the 2012 season, Alabama has 827 official victories[SUP][a][/SUP][SUP]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alabama_Crimson_Tide_football#noteb[/SUP] in NCAA Division I (an additional 21 victories were vacated and 8 victories and 1 tie were forfeited), has won 27 conference championships (4 Southern Conference and 23 SEC championships) and has made an NCAA-record 60 postseason bowl appearances. Other NCAA records include 23 10-game+ win streaks, and 19 seasons with a 10–0 start. The program has 33 10–win seasons (32, one vacated),[SUP][10][/SUP][SUP][11][/SUP] and has 35[SUP]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alabama_Crimson_Tide_football#noteb[/SUP] bowl victories, both NCAA records.[SUP][12][/SUP] Alabama has completed 10 undefeated seasons, 9 of which were perfect seasons. The Crimson Tide leads the SEC West Division with eight division titles and eight appearances in the SEC Championship Game. Alabama holds a winning record against every current and former SEC school, except for SEC newcomer Missouri (2-2). The Associated Press (AP) ranks Alabama 4th in all-time final AP Poll appearances, with 50 through the 2012 season.[SUP][13][/SUP][SUP][14][/SUP]

Watching Alabama fans and Texas fans argue over which program is the historical best is THE BEST MOST ENTERTAINING thing that could ever happen on the internet except for the recreation of Star Wars Episode 4 in ASCI art.
