šŸˆ The Coaching Carousel : UT promotes Kelsey Pope to WR coach

Venebales may do well there, but I think he's going to have to put together a really good staff in order to do it. If he can get Lebby as rumored, that's a good start. But as of now, with OU coming into the SEC, Venables as HC doesn't really worry me.

Will be interested to see what Dabo does... grab another DC or promote from within? I bet he will want to promote someone, despite not having any ideal options. This is a big blow to him and Clemson.

Here we go... Dabo is really about to find out why it's so hard to STAY elite. A down season followed up by your best assistant leaving town... Some legitimate adversity to overcome now withe the Venables departure... Mostly on field but I'm sure he was a fantastic recruiting piece as well.

As we all know, what's been so amazing is CNS' ability to keep evolving and finding new assistants to fit the needed roles. We'll see if Dabo can keep pace.

Your best offensive assistant left leading to a down season followed up by your best defensive assistant leaving. What Brandon is suggesting earlier has precedent; Jeff Scott.

Radakovich is desperately trying to get out of Clemson; no coincidence found there.

Mario to Miami would be good in the sense that it would make things a tad bit more difficult on Clemson. Where it would impact Bama is recruiting... between him and Napier, it would be more difficult to pluck those 5*'s out of FL, especially central and south FL (can be done, just much harder). On the positive side, I think we've seen Saban/Bama shift some attention in recent years to recruiting in TX and also the west coast, and Mario leaving Oregon would leave a nice little void with some west coast guys. He's beat us head to head with a few elite ones during his time with the Ducks.

His backup quarterback and one of his starting receivers are transferring too. Like you said, really about to see if the guy is worth it.

The least of my worries under CNS is recruiting... Not saying you can just put on cruise control but CNS knows the importance of recruiting and he is the best there is at it.
