Oatis is going to be a terror!
Think about stacking the Z's in a four wide set...Harrell behind Burton who's running a Y cross concept with a little wheel route with Gibbs on that side. That has the making to be a fun position (X) to watch this season.

I like seeing Burnip as the holder: reps, reps, reps.

Remember that Kobe was a flip from Locks?

BTW, if you happened to notice Latu isn't listed but he is practicing today. Saban was asked about it in the presser confirming what we've talked about some two weeks ago; an earlier return than originally thought.

That TE group is deceiving considering the offense uses, what boils down to, three different tight end positions.

I was really really really hoping Ricks would take one side of the cornerback roles opposite Jackson because I've seen his ability, but I guess his injuries are hurting him. That being said, happy to see Arnold getting his chance. Thought I heard somewhere at the end of last season we were worried about him and the transfer portal. Hoping this causes him to stay and understand good things take time.

The talent level of those 4 CBs is off the charts. Good to have depth compared to last year when 2 first year players had to play the NC game due to injury.

And Branch at the nickel/Star position is the best in the country at that role IMO

Some cool stuff there... A few interesting things:

-That depth at DB is crazy. T. Arnold being at the top of the list is a great sign for him. Who knows how that develops by the end of the year

-Speaking of DB's.... It appears Branch has surpassed M. Moore as the best option at Star. I'm sure Moore will be on the field a ton, but after his freshman year, it was hard to see anyone taking snaps off his plate.

-Is Randolph the actual starter at LG or is Cohen banged up? I'd be happy for Randolph if this is the case

-Hard not to feel good about MLB with the experience those 2 guys bring... And youth behind them... That depth is always tested!

Brian Branch over Malachi Moore sort of surprises me. I know Moore has been plagued by injuries......but surprises me to see it on paper.

branch been outperforming moore since last season.

"Out performing" doesn't fit. I would out perform Tiger on a golf course following his knee and back surgery while he's high on Oxy.

Malachi has had back problems for over a year now. It's football, right? An injury like his makes the path back up the depth chart difficult when the guy beside you is able to handle the reps in practice. Moore hasn't been healthy enough.
