šŸˆ The buyout value of Charlie Weis, Will Muschamp, and now Kevin Sumlin's contracts.

I feel for the Ole Ball Coach. Spurrier worked his ass off and USC looked like they were on the cusp of being a legit player in the SEC in the early 2010s and now they simply suck.

There are a number of UofSC fans who would disagree with that notion. I do as well.
Which part do you disagree with @TerryP . I think both of the items I highlighted are questionable.

His work ethic. They had some good players commit when he was in the HC chair but he thought he could recruit from said chair. He pulled the same thing at UofSC as we saw Mack Brown do at Texas in his later years.

They landed a few good players back then. Care to guess who was heading up their recruiting department?

Yeah I recall he took a few shots at Saban with regards to recruiting and his coaching success. Implied Saban's job was easier. Although there is some truth behind getting a look by the top recruits is easier at Bama but as you know Saban works extremely hard in recruiting. Kids might look but you do not get the top recruiting classes by sitting on your couch. Spurrier did not want to work as hard in recruiting.

My gut was telling me Shane Beamer was the recruiting coordinator so I looked it up and confirmed...
