🏈 Thank Goodness VT's OFF is so terrible

Man, what a game. We played fantastic for an opening hard fought game. I am just glad that has to be one of the worst run offenses I have seen in a long time. Our defense played outstanding but I just can help but think that offense and all I heard about it beforehand is absolutely true. Probably one of the worst run in the country.

Never seen that many good athletes, look so inept. Good for us, more of the same bad for them. They are lucky that def and sp teams keep them hanging around.

One down!:td:

I got more of an impression that our D was just really awesome for the most part.

TT had nowhere to go, and when he did and tried to, the lane for him would close very quickly.

Whenever we did not bring pressure everyone was covered.

If he wasnt contained, he was on the run from someone most of the time.

We executed our gameplan for the most part, when we go up against a less mobile QB he might want to bring some painkillers with him.

With that said, I think when they go against a lesser D they will look very good. I thought TT made good decisions. No picks, and the only "almost" came on a bomb out of bounds. The plays he missed a man wideopen came with someone in TT's face.

When they can go up against a team that doesnt bring all of those variables, Id look for their O to have a big game.

Game went almost exactly as I expected. I picked Bama to win 34-13, saying VT's defense would be on the field so much that it would give out &/or quit in the second half. The score should have been 34-13! Should never give up a kickoff return, especially after doing it the year before. Do I have to figure that in my scores from now on? Should have held them to a FG goal when the McClain penalities helped them to a TD.

Maybe....I only partly agree. I feel like the offensive game plans of the other teams on our schedule will be much more complex and function better. Their o-line looked pretty pathetic in pass protection. Our stunts seemed to confuse the hell out of them.

Don't think they will do that to the Gators the same way.....

VT might put some points up against Marshall, but nothing great.....

I really don't see why their offense will be less confusing than others we play this year. They use the option, wildcat(though by injuring Boone we ended the threat, but you can bet we prepared), they have a mobile QB.

I dont remember if they ran any misdirection though.

But in anycase, if there is one worry, its how our secondary will handle a star WR. According to Saban, we will see against FIU.

Or Arkansas, theyll be a real test for anyone and everyone. On O atleast, no reason to think a good ballcontrol O will not win the game against their D though.

Our D has had some practice against a star wide receiver. How we will handle another ought to be easy for the coaching staff to predict.
