🏈 Texas Recruiting

Okay, so putting aside the fact that the state of Texas is just a little bit outside our immediate recruiting region (though certainly not outside of the whole area we recruit) and that these are just coordinators, do you think Texas losing so many coaches (OC, DC, and multiple other assistants) could have any effect on Texas's recruits? I mean, if I was a recruit, I would want to know that there is some stability in the coaching staff-- other than Mack Brown.

it's Texas dude...kids here dream of playing for one of the Texas schools and the big one around here is still down in Austin. Now OU and a few other colleges are able to pull star recruits from the state, but make no doubt about it...the kids growing up here want to play for Texas.

that being said, Coach Brown has often been described as a recruiter that can't coach. Not saying I agree with it, but that speaks volumes about your topic. I don't see Texas losing too many of their recruits that committed many months ago.

Texas doesn't have a bowl game to worry about, they will bring in a good coaching staff...why, because they are Texas. Great facilities, huge recruiting area loaded with talent, and living in Austin ain't bad. oh yeah, did I mention 20k women on campus.

Shaggybevo.com ,The fans are over there saying thery're sure to lose a quarter of their recruits including Malcolm Brown.From what I read it seems Muschamp was in charge of recuiting this year. And he was also the one that recruited Brown personally.I know it was down to Texas and us for him maybe he opens back up.

^^ in my opinion, you are reading post on a board, much like this site..hell, you have started some silly/stupid posts - ie, Saban leaving for Dallas, etc.

Texas has had a bad year, people on the boards are expressing shock/frustration/etc, so I would say you have to take some of this with a grain of salt.

most boards are filled with rumor/hearsay/gossip/wishful thinking more so than facts, see all the Cam Newton posts on this board as example #1 if you must.
