gonna be real interesting to see how the scheduling gets worked out, could a road trip to College Station next year be a possibility?

Well, here we go. All of the questions about how to juggle schedules and maintain long-standing rivalries as well as the obvious need for a 14th member to make conference standings not turn into Chinese algebra are all gonna have to be addressed... before the next season starts.

This may turn out to be a wild ride and who knows what the PAC-12 will do now to possibly try to one-up the SEC. PAC-16 anyone?

I'm among those who like this addition. Since it's a foregone conclusion that the conference is going to grow anyway, we might as well take our pick of the crop. I sent a note to a good friend of mine who's an Aggie alum .... his response was that while he's glad they're moving they're going to have to step up their game compared to what they've been used to in the "big 12".

Any chance that we stay at 13 for more that 1 year?

How likely is it that 14 comes from the east (to protect division integrity) vice the west (to poach from a vulnerable BIG12)?

Other than West Virginia, are there any other schools out there that we KNOW want to join?

Duder,

Why do you say that UF wouldn't want FSU? You are not the first person I have heard say that, but it makes absolutely no sense to me. They already recruit against one another, the already play against one another every year. It would seem to me to make more sense for them to want FSU in the SEC. Why not make that game mean something. The way both teams are headed, how cool would it be to have a rivalry game determine the east?

The general theme is recruiting could become more fierce, their game has conference implications, etc.

I think FSU would be great from a competitive standpoint. But they add nothing to the TV market. I think if the SEC wanted to push for a team that may get vetoed it would be one with something to add.

Wasn't it LSU that said something about not wanting aTm because if recruiting issues? I think the concerns are over-blown but that seems to be the recurring theme

To add on, I've read where 10 of the 12 teams have to vote to add a school. To protect the advantages of being the only SEC school in their state, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina have agreed to vote "NO" as a bloc should FSU, Georgia Tech, or Clemson come up for vote. That is where the ablitly to keep FSU out comes from.
