🏈 Tennessee taking credit for developing Bama and FSU defensive backs and Ronnie doesn't care for it, at all.

But adding grad patch is cool.....recognition of an accomplishment..
Better than Winners of life or some bullshit...
Wonder if they will keep their "turnover trash can"
I am kinda interested to see home the vols do this year...
Highly rated WVU.....Bama...UGA...Fl...Missouri...AU.....USCe....
Could be a rough fall.... hopefully another losing season

Pretty sure all SEC schools do the grad patch for graduate students.

Never ever heard that....wow.....

They do, for all sports.

I think most are looking past the fact that these guys are just now going into their fourth or fifth year this Fall and have already graduated. This is not the entire graduating class, it's just the early graduates that get to wear the graduate patch this Fall.
It is the entire football spring graduating class of four. Bama, on the other hand, had 22 graduate this spring (past and present.)

Gotcha. I assumed with them mentioning the patch that they meant early graduates coming back.
4 compared to 22 demonstrates the success of the academic side of " The Process."

Good God this is sad. Yes, I get the school itself doesn't exactly have a ton of recent success to hang their hats on and Pruitt should certainly big up his success, but yikes. It seems like weekly their social media is posting Alabama and FSU players on a Tennessee page. It was fine and all but I would think seeing pictures like that would make a recruit go, "So, I should go to Alabama or FSU?"
The interesting thing to me is Pruitt and staff are doing the same thing Saban did when he arrived in Tuscaloosa. Saban, if you'll recall, used the players he recruited at LSU who made it to the NFL as one of his "recruiting pitches." There is a HUGE difference though. Saban recruited, coached, and developed a lot of those guys. How many has Pruitt recruited? Or coached? Hell, we've got guys like Mink on that list where Pruitt didn't recruit or coach (remember, he was ILB coach here.)

And then we've got the FSU players...

I get it despite it being a load of crap.

But...as it is said...desperate times require desperate measures....
TN is in the tank....they know it..the fans know it....we all know it....
I saw where they compared their times to Bamas after BEAR....
Wedid have some rough times...but there were some good ones also...
Every HC....got Bama inthetalk... there really is no comparison...
There times are desperate.....

I believe TN list 6 current and returning players...and a bunch of former players....
Getting degrees... why they showed 4 in picture ....don’t know
Still pale in comparison

It's pretty subtle.

White on white I saw from a girl who graduated playing basketball. Can't think of her name. It was a tweet she sent out when she received it.

Softball looks good on both

I understand how more & more recruits are using the social media medium to impact their interest for schools of choice. Its just the way it is. But these other schools need to stop pretending they've even come close to 'Bama. And now that Saban is using social media more to recruit, the bolts are tightening the pressure to produce. But it looks tacky or ridiculous for the other teams when they do it.

Saban has the simple & clear track record. That is his brand. And he un-apologetically did it over time. And it was nothing fancy either. Work hard, compete against yourself, consistency in performance, on & on. All of that will take care of the flashy stuff.

Other schools better come up with something else that is their niche & drive that. THEN let their process take its affect in the classroom, weight room, & field. Once they get some solid, consistent results, then they should be a bit more flashy.

Playing off the credentials of other team's players aren't going over very well at any school. Jimbo was doing it and got called out on social media and an FSU lineman just told Sunseri at Florida to quit using his image. He didn't recruit or coach the linemen he was taking credit for. He since took the tweet down

The public backlash by these players has a good chance to make this strategy less than favorable. Getting called out as fakes for claiming fake accomplishments can't look good to other recruits who also read all the quotes.
