šŸˆ Tennessee is hiring UCF’s Josh Heupel as its next head football coach,

Majors: head coach
Fulmer: assistant at UT
Kiffin: head coach
Dooley: head coach
Jones: head coach.
Pruitt: assistant.

"Again" would insinuate they've tried that assistant route a lot." They haven't. Even if Elliott is their third in the last half of a century, all three have stark differences circumstances.

That probably covers 80% of the hires made in collegiate football, if not more.

The word "they" doesn't fit here either. It's Danny White. Now, you can choose to knock his hires over his career if you'd like. I wouldn't.
Twice is plenty. Period ( might according to desperation)
I ADDED Group of 5 twice
That's plenty Probably wont try that again. ( might according to desperation)
And one fired
Wont try that again. ( desperation?)
But if they added elliot ... that would br 50% of hires are assistants. Thats a lot

and bama after bear. Assistants had poor success.

Dabo and Clemson were humbled by OSU.
I'm not buying that until I see it come to fruition. We've seen Dabo's mouth running these last few years and it's catching up with him. He's no longer viewed as the "aww shucks" guy he once was; especially in the media.

Everyone has their own style and we see the differences between Saban and Dabo often. Don't get me wrong. I believe Dabo to be a leader, and a pretty good one. However, you mention a key word here that makes him or any leader successful; humility.

I'm not talking about coach speak, "we're not as good of a football team as you guys think we are." Lately he hasn't been one who has shown a lot of self-critic. Being able to look at yourself and see how what you say and do affects people goes a long way in today's world. I'm having a hard time seeing that to the point I'm beginning to wonder if it's there.

We'll know a bit about them come September 4th; UGA as well.

OSU gave to Dabo and Clemson the same bitch slap as Clemson gave to Nick and Bama in 2018. If you're humble from that then chances are you're on the upper side of arrogance with no chance to see humble. With respect you and I disagree on the view of Dabo.
