šŸˆ Tennessee is hiring UCF’s Josh Heupel as its next head football coach,

Will be interesting to see if the NCAA has the teeth to be able to find out the source of the money. Not good for Tennessee either way, but if it was from some rouge boosters, that would be much better than some diverted AD cash. Normally, it would 100% be booster money, but Fulmer is a dumbass and it would be just like him to green light an AD slush fund for recruits. And if he was that dumb, it wouldn't just be the NCAA that starts digging.

Do you mean LSU or perhaps the REC?

eheh. I was a guest at an LSU tailgate in Baton Rouge for the LSU/Bama game in 2004. Best tailgate I've ever been to, even better than our legendary RTB A-Day tailgates. It was a bunch of oil company execs that basically had an all day cajun buffet spread complete with a u-haul truck that they turned into a free grab mini mart on wheels filled with every snack you could imagine. After the game, we went back to the tailgate to eat some more, and after a bit several LSU players came by. They had to-go plates made for them to take with them. Each got 2 styrofoam covered boxes. One filled with food, one filled with cash. Great tailgate.

Will there ever be another RTB tailgate? We never could align the games we attended with the tailgates.

So is Phat Phil eating the McD food and giving Pruitt the sacks to use for cash handouts? That how it went down? I don’t see McD just giving the school the sacks for nothing!

Heck, let's just have an offseason get together.

@TerryP , when are you unavailable....

Maybe at some point. It was getting more and more difficult to have a decent tailgate with the rules that UA was imposing on the Quad.

It would be a local McDonald’s franchisee and I’m sure they would give bags to be in the inside circle.

So who is it that Vols trying to get from Bama football program?

If they got anyone from UA, their best bet would be O’Brien but I don’t see it happening. Figure they’ll end up with someone like Chadwell (high risk/high reward at low cost), Tom Herman (hope a scenery change makes a difference), or Bill Clark (a guy who is a proven solid coach and can navigate a program through difficult times). This is all assuming they don’t let Fulmer make the hire.

And...we could have terry give out bags of cash in mcDonalds bags....
Hope that's not against ncaa rules

BAMA will probably draw better candidates for their OC and open position coach openings (or analysts for that matter) than UT will for their HC position. If I were them, I'd probably go after the Coastal Carolina coach.
We're already at the same candidate(s) stage. Fulmer had his eye on O'Brien for the job before Pruitt came on the scene.
