I read an article today (can't remember where) about Jeff Fisher saying he would be interested if there was an opening. When I saw that I was pretty sure Pruitt was done and dough boy likely already had Fisher lined up. He just had to find a path to oust Pruitt with minimum financial impact.

Ha, hadn't heard or seen that, but Fisher openly lobbied for the Vandy job. Not sure if they ever even returned his call?
 
Fisher would be a joke. I hope Phat Phil survives. Thatā€™s the one constant with all their losing And chaos the past 15 years. I know they wouldnā€™t bring Kiffin back, just quoting my acquaintances. But that they are talking about him after he dumped them, tells me how bad things are up on that hill. Cluster....

Outside of being recruited and playing at USC, the guy has no college experience. If Fisher were to be hired, he better hire some recruiters. Coming into the SEC and competing with the likes of Saban/Mullen/Smart, not to mention Dabo for athletes. That is like being 16 years old and given the keys to a Lamborghini and told to go get on the autobahn.

Vols fans Iā€™ve talked to seem to have the understanding that if they fire JP, the program wonā€™t have any sort of punishment.

Iā€™m not sure exactly how all this plays out, but Vols fans are some of the most ridiculous fans youā€™ll ever meet. They canā€™t stay in the cellar long enough.

He is a backstabbing MF....and all the world knows it...
And he has got Tennessee playing down to KY level in football....plus the slime-he has added....

Yep but you cannot hang around the pig pin and not get some slop on you. Good ole Sand Mountain language :). JP made the decision so he has to pay the consequences, especially if he was doing some shady recruiting stuff. I have said this in previous threads it always bothers me to see ex Bama coaches getting caught up in recruiting issues because I worry they did similar things while at Bama. Only hope they did not have to at Bama because they had a much better product to sell.

If its Fatphil just trying to get out of a buy out...which it sounds like...that will come out.... cant put anything past that weasel....and....

Sand Mountain is more famous for Sorghum Syrup..... than hogs....but...
There are plenty of chicken houses and hog farms... a long ride on Harley through SM is very convincing....
Now... around Pole Cat Hollow....chip mills and dog food processors...
 
JP shouldā€™ve told Fat Phil to ā€œtake a hike and keep on lookingā€ when he came dangling the keys to the UT program. He couldā€™ve taken a G5 school and see if he was really ready for the big leagues.
