I pretty much consider Daphne my hometown, but I could make a strong case for Vestavia too I guess? Anyway, when I moved to Daphne in 1991 it was nothing like it is now. Just not much there other than the basics. There was 1 huge subdivision built around a golf course/lake which is where most everyone seemed to live. There was a small 2 screen theater by the Chinese restaurant. Now, there's not much real estate left it seems. Subdivisions and businesses are everywhere. One thing that hasn't changed, and has always been unique to Daphne (and the extended eastern shore), is the Jubilees... learned about them within days of moving down there... always found them fascinating...
