Buddy of mine at work in our San Diego office is an old friend of Barnett's high school coach. He told me after we signed him we got a good one, said his high school coach was very high on Barnett.

Yeah he is showing that already. I am excited to see where he can go from here. Going to be interesting.

He did win the Elite 11 camp. I know that's a far cry from live SEC action, but previous winners have shown some ability.

Ok daily QB update:

Yesterday was a rough day needless to say.

Coker- according to several sources who were at practice " could not hit sh*t", missed a swing pass, missed quick slants, missed everything.

Cornwell: Even worse day, threw a few pick 6, threw balls into the ground etc.

Bateman: Nothing to report other than average and short arms everything.

Morris: Made some nice throws, missed some as well, nothing glamorous but solid.

Barnett: Same as Morris.

The feeling given to my sources and many others is the lean is going towards Morris, and if not him and no other options arise Barnett.

Disclaimer, Once again this is just right this second, NOTHING WILL HAPPEN until they Scrimmage. Stand by for more later today.

I believe if Barnett is that good give him a chance. At least give him some playing time so we can show 5 star QB recruits they have a chance if they come to Bama.

Lets hold off on discussion on who we think should be given a chance to start.. because right now it's a moot point. Let's wait and see how scrimmage goes... It's not fair to say " Hey let's go with Barnett" when we haven't had real scrimmages yet. Like Boz said, its too early.

- QBs competition
- RB Depth ( Bo Will get his chance later this season, but we know what he can do)
- Secondary performance and forcing turnovers.
- Defense manging third downs situations.
-How many time CNS will scream at CLK and CKS
