I'm kinda hoping its Coker who gets the job this year, so that we get another QB battle next year. If Cornwell/Morris gets the nod, it would be harder for another QB to have a chance next year.

I could see it. Trying to make 5 QB's feel like they have a realistic shot at winning the job could get ugly. Giving legitimate reps to 5 dudes could start to mess with confidence and/or development

That is really what you have here. The QB spot is completely up for grabs. Morris could have two great scrimmages and be slinging balls and punting them too lol.

When I first saw Morris play, I thought he had real potential. Believe it or not he has nice zip on the ball. Thing is he never really cared enough to start. As in other things were more important.

I guess there are pros and cons of this.... one one hand, you have then all thinking they are still fighting for the start so nobody will slack off; they will push each other to get better and better. On the other hand, you're spreading the reps too thin and nobody makes the progress they need to make.

Wasn't Cornwell a punter in HS too? That's how he hurt his knee, right? I think you guys are selling Cornwell short on his 3rd down quick kick potential.

practice yesterday...Barnett was the best there...made several big time throws the other four cannot...and that does not even factor in his mobility...Morris was second, Coker third (wildly inaccurate & inconsistent at times), Corwell (really bad practice) & Bateman (why is he a QB, move him to WR, good athlete); Blake is improving rapidly IMO & is the most advanced young QB of the Saban era!
