🏈 Supper

CRYPTOCOSIS (formerly, Optimus) is coming over and I threw some ribs in the crock pot early this morning.

Pork ribs with mushrooms, mushroom gravy
black eyed peas
corn bread
mash taters

Grilling ribeyes wrapped in peppered bacon
baked potatoes
corn-on-the-cob
fresh maters & cucumbers
black walnut ice cream

Usually don't do pork (ribs, chops, shoulder) until the Arkansas game--superstitious and pretty much a creature of habit.

I guess I'm just a cannibal.

Keeping it simple here.

Homemade Buffalo Wings and fries. I mke my own sauce for the wings, and it is a tradition at my home for me to make these for the first televised Bama game every year.

Chop,
Those ribs sound good. I gotta get the recipe from you.

Any type of smoked or bar-b-cue pork is my favorite, hands down.

During the road trip to Duke a couple a weeks ago, I had to make a stop at Archibald's and then tried Full Moon for the first time on the return trip.

I've heard you can do that pork right, Chopper.

I can't claim to be an expert Factor, but I'm gonna tell you what...and you're gonna laugh at how ghetto I am;

I wanted to smoke some ribs a while back but didn't have a smoker. I do have this huge wrought iron grill however. It's shaped like a smoker, but the area around the rack (the cylinder I guess) isn't fully enclosed. It almost looks like...chicken wire? Hard to explain if you've never seen one, but anyway. Well, I improvised.

I fixed it up with the charcoal and the wood chips/juice and then wet some old bath towls and hung them around the cylinder to keep the heat and smoke in. Well, my friend said it would never work.

Might have been the best baby back ribs I've ever eaten. Threw 'em on there for like 5 hours in medium heat and they just fell off the bone LITERALLY. ;)

I wish I had been there to witness the cookery and to sample the ribs. Me loves 'em when they fall off the bone.
