šŸˆ GAME THREAD SUPER BOWL LII : New England Patriots vs Philadelphia Eagles.

So I guess James will be take home that NBA.
James has never won an NBA title when the Crimson Tide didn’t win a national championship in football that same year.

Here’s the rundown of how things have looked in those years:

2011-2012: Alabama wins title, LeBron wins title

2012-2013: Alabama wins title, LeBron wins title

2013-2014: Alabama loses Sugar Bowl, LeBron loses Finals

2014-2015: Alabama loses College Football Playoff semifinals, LeBron loses Finals

2015-2016: Alabama wins title, LeBron wins Finals

2016-2017: Alabama loses title game, LeBron???

Interesting and very familiar dilemma in Philly now. Even though the circumstances are different, Philly won a Super Bowl with a back up QB (granted he has started before). Now what do the Eagles do with Wentz? Or Foles? Sound familiar? :)

That something I have been meaning to ask some of you about. I had always thought that you didn't lose your spot because of and injury?

Big Patriots Fan here! They actually played well in a loss. Most points socred in SB history in a loss. Philly made more big plays when they had to. The BIGGEST SUPRISE was the lack of tackling and Defense in general by both sides. If this had been BAMA in a NC game, we all would be bitching, wondering what the hell is wrong with the Defense lol PROS Just WIN BABY! that is how it always should be anyway! Good first time for Philly Fans, I know they will burn the town down lol!!!

It looked like a 7 v 7 drill.

What's most amazing to me was the great gameplan for the Eagles on offense and the ridiculous approach taken by the defense. The Eagles had the kind of front 7 to terrorize the likes of the immobile one, Tom Brady. Bringing only 4 DL every snap was insane and promised a Falcon-like ending had it not been for the blitz that finally sacked Brady and created the turnover. But not before Brady threw unpressured for over 500 yards. I'd fire that DC as soon as I got off the plane in Philly for the severest case of stupid you could witness.

So that puts New England at 5 and 3 in Super Bowls. Even though they've lost some close ones, they've won some as well. Last season's Falcon loss in OT was on the Birds failure more than anything else and then the mindboggling 1st and goal pass by Russell Wilson on the goal line could have changed the Brady/Belichick championship era immensely.

The biggest surprise was the benching of Malcolm Butler for what was described as football reasons. One of the best DBs and past Super Bowl hero didn't get in on one defensive play and the Eagles went a calling and often. When does a football genius out think himself? When he genuinely believes that his Xs and Os are really better than his Jimmies and Joes.
