Bryce Youngās freshman season at Alabama was āa great learning year for him,ā said Taylor Kelly, who was Youngās quarterbacks coach at Mater Dei (Calif.) High School and now serves as a quarterback instructor for 3DQB. But like a lot of high-profile recruits, it was challenging going from the nationās No. 1 overall prospect to a backup at the collegiate level.
Kelly has spent the last month working with Young twice a week following the spring season and has noticed a more confident player than when he last saw Young this past season.
āHis arm looks strong while heās been out here for the last month,ā Kelly told BamaOnLine. āHeās looked fast, strong, and I see more of a confidence with him, just with the way heās talking and talking about the summer program and how heās excited to get back and get those player-run practices going and building his relationship with (Bill) OāBrien.
