I may be wrong, but I don't think coach Burns spends a lot of time on the recruiting trail. (?) Nonetheless, might be the most underrated assistant of the Saban era (outside of true Bama fans who know what a RB Yoda he is). Some could counter with the argument of the amount of talent put in his stable each year, but even the best stallions (nohomo) have to be broken/trained. Not every single highly rated RB we've signed has worked out, but a high percentage has and many that haven't was a result of injury, and/or the inability to deal with elite competition. For me, his teaching methods on how to carry the ball and the lack of RB fumbles is amazing in an of itself, but could even the top HATERS try and diminish his contributions to developing (not necessarily in order): INGRAM, YELDON, LACEY, RICHARDSON, HENRY, SCARBOROUGH, D. HARRIS and even JACOBS & N. HARRIS.
Helped bring Alabama football it's first and shortly later 2nd Heisman trophy winner in school history. Unless Burns is willing/able to stay on as long as CNS, maybe this might be the year to bring in (hopefully) the 2nd best RB coach in history that could also do some recruiting?
