I've listened to a few SC fans stand on this soapbox for far too long. Wondering what Stanford's HC David Shaw will say about this

They still have time to replace them with someone else.

Unfortunately, once they start paying their players they are going to have to dig a lot deeper than that to get enough California teams to fill that schedule. But good first effort.

Why would Shaw have anything to say? He played UC-Davis last year, and in 2014. Stanford opened with Sacramento State in 2010 when he was OC.

Shaw's talked a few times about the SEC and FCS opponents. And yes, Stanford still plays them.

ND played Carnegie Tech in 1941. USC and UCLA played San Diego Navy in the 50s. SC in 1952 and UCLA in 1954. Those were the last for each. Many more prior to those.

The way a Pac 12 crowd shows up for a game when these guys play their FCS opponent might not be 12 people in the stands.
