I find it funny that fans who adore cocks are getting irritated by male cheerleaders. You'd think they'd be all over that...

I had the opportunity to attend Midnight Yell in College Station when I was in college and had a blast. Texas A&M has some really weird and quirky traditions. They do things a little funny, but I respect that.
I don't think they had any idea what they were getting into holding Midnight Yell on the state house steps. Quite frankly, I didn't know what they were getting into either. South Carolina fans outnumbered TAMU fans but I didn't think it was by much. Maybe 60-40. I don't guess that's a huge surprise.
I couldn't hear much of what was being said, even standing in the middle of the crowd and not at the back, because the USC fans were so loud and the speakers were so soft.
What I liked about being in College Station was one could hear the yell leaders explain their traditions. It was cool to be immersed in their environment and learn what their hand signals mean. USC fans - and I'm not saying or implying this is a bad thing - drowned out everything that was being said over the speakers by the yell leader.
Talking to a couple of TAMU fans (and I don't know how experienced they are in travel), they said this was the biggest showing by visiting fans at one of their events. They seemed very surprised USC fans showed up in such force. Some TAMU fans were visibly and vocally ticked. Some were impressed.
Having been to Midnight Yell before, part of me wanted them to be able to do their deal. I certainly don't blame USC fans for showing up and showing out. The TAMU leaders were so flustered, they apparently forgot to instruct the crowd to "mug down" - or kiss their dates. Gamecock fans definitely won the state house grounds.
I just left too. They guy beside me was pissed. He said we were classless and rude for yelling during their practice. I asked him what did he expect by having it on our state house grounds.
I also advised him to not make the trip to LSU or Georgia when they play them if he thought we were bad.lol
My honest opinion of their tradition is that it's pretty weird and I don't know how they get excited over all male cheerleaders. The yells and handsigns are pretty lame.
