What I find funny is that a couple people are upset or take offense with the post that bamafan4ever made, but think saying the site "sucks" is ok??? LOL!

I don't abuse my Mod status and didn't issue one warning in the last 4 months. Then I get compared to Earle? I am asking for consideration for my counterparts that HAVE invested time and money into this site to make it what it is. I don't have a problem with someone having a problem, if that makes sense. What I have a problem with is how he said it and didn't say one thing about what he didn't like about the layout. Give specifics without running down the efforts of the people who try to make this site what it is. If you are not part of a solution by offering suggestions you are part of the problem.

Whether I reacted too "harshly" is in the eye of the beholder and I make no apologies for it due to the poster I was addressing, a general malcontent who seemingly wouldn't be pleased if Megan Fox herself gave him a happy ending. Some will never be pleased but at least wipe your feet at the front door before you track your dog crap into the house. The home owners don't deserve it and the guys behind the changes are highly regarded in my book.

Posters pay their price for admission by the quality of posts they bring to the table. His post was what people in this "biz" like to call an EPIC FAIL.

My biggest gripes is the links are the same color as regular text so it's hard to find the link sometimes without hovering over a person post.

I feel compelled to say something here, there is alot of work involved with building a site. With that work comes, mistakes, things that you don't figure in until it shows up, knowing when you change things that not all people will agree and like what you change, and the fact that security issues force you to upgrade to a so called better template. We/I understand that not all of you will like this layout. I myself do not like big changes, however, understand that there are reasons why things get changed up, as I previously posted. If you the member have a complaint, We welcome it.


A way to do this without "ruffling feathers" could be to have a Complaint post and everyone can add to what they want, like or dislike. Trust me when I say this, we dont need our ego stroked, we don't mind complaints, we will address every complaint. Having said that, please know that this is a work in progress, and we are trying the best we can to make this product worthy. For you, our memberbase.

Seriously, the site looks good but it loads slow. Almost like it hangs up and I have 20M down load.

Seems to be every time that I log on. When I hit the button, my page timer as shown as high as 9 seconds to change a page or to start a new topic. The quick reply seems to be quicker..................................hence the name, I reckon.

edit* I hit the page refresh a couple of times and according to the info in the bottom bar of the browser, it seems that the ads are actually dragging the page load times out. I use firefox with AdBlocker Plus. Doesn't seem to do this on other sites. The advertisers may have bloated code for their ads.

That's what I'm thinking...although, I have had a few issues with pages loading before we added that widget.

yb has new ad code out I need to get in as well...may be related to that as well?
