I don’t think he’s the hitting coach and it’s the assistant that’s been there a long, long, long, time. IMO she should have been let go years ago but that will never happen.

From what I've heard from behind the scenes (from a guy that coached under him years ago) is that he fashions himself a hitter and coaches it, and that's why we have not seen him hire a hitting coach.

So let me see if I get this right. Murphy is the head and hitting coach. We have an assistance coach that is the pitching coach. We have a volunteer assistant coach that keeps track of important info during the game. So the associate head coach stands at first base and is the RAH RAH coach?????

I can't necessarily speak to that, but I asked my friend that used to work under him and he said Murphy considers himself a hitting coach. A lot have asked why we don't have a hitting coach, so I asked him and that's what he told me.

Well in that case Murph needs to fire himself as hitting coach and hire someone else.
