My niece and her husband are about to (hopefully) get their first house. It's under contract, they just need to cross the "t"s and dot the "i"s. SO proud of them. It's a nice house in a good neighborhood. They'll be a tiny bit further away, but still between me and my sister (her mom).
They're currently in an apartment and are tired of paying rent with no future in the money. Plus they'll have a yard for the dogs to play in without having to be on a leash. They both have good jobs and are smart with their money, so I'm sure they'll pay extra on the mortgage to get it paid down as soon as possible.
