🏈 So, LSU is putting in another new offense. This time, going with the spread?

Matt Canada was running a smashmouth pro-style spread at LSU. Every play someone was running horizontally. Special Ed has made one of the most serious and unnecessary gambles of his young career as HC. Why take a flyer on an aging tight end coach who, when he was appointed as OC after Miles firing, said he didn't want the job permanently? The HC took less to throw money at the best OCs and DCs in the country and the best you come up with is going back to the TE coach who said he didn't want the job in the first place? I wonder if Special Ed is panicking?

Dude had his first head coaching job damn near 15 years ago, we still calling him a "young HC?"

Over Under on how quickly he's fired is 7 games?
I'm gonna give him the over. I think he gets the whole season and then he's gone after they lose the Music City Bowl.
His buyout is only 8.5 million this year! /s I remember last fall there was a LSU fan that started a Go Fund Me for Orge's buyout...wonder what became of that?

Like bird, I don't see him being let go mid-season. I do see a good possibility they are out of the SECW race by mid-October. In fact, it's not that big of a stretch to see them at 4-4 coming into Bama week (losses to UM, @AU, @UF, and UGA at home. Best case scenario for them this season is a SEC record of 3-2 coming in with wins over the two Mississippi schools and a UF win (and that's a toss-up in my eyes...Mullen being semi-successful at a school like MSU doesn't automatically translate to successful at a major school like UF.)
