If Notre Dame is kinda in ACC......
Shouldn’t they have played a Clemson in the ACC title game,....
I know they arent but are with scheduling..
what a free ride they have ....

nd plays by a different set of rules than everyone else, just another reason to hate them. Join a conference or be penalized. Hope Clemson opens a huge can on them.

In order for ND to play in the ACC for all other sports, the conference mandated that they play six games conference games in football (rotating schedule). Smart move by the ACC. It will be interesting to see how ND benefits for football from the new ACC Channel coming in the fall. All ND home games are televised by NBC. Will the ND away games all be televised by the ACC Channel? Does this put all other networks (including ESPN/ESPNU/ESPN2, CBS, Fox, etc.) in the dark?

Well those green boy do have it with all the channels. Like you said @OldPlayer NBC had the home games, but ABC,CBS, FOX also had them on the away games.

FWIW, it's only five games per season with Notre Dame and ACC teams.

When the ACC officially announced the launch a few weeks ago Swofford said "one of the five could be added to the schedule." They are expecting the full schedule to be released in Feb.

I see what you are saying, but those advantages for Bama were anomalies because of the way the Conference Division Leaders finished. That being said, Notre Dame gets that advantage every...single...year. Even UCF has to play in an CCG. I, like many others, are just tired of seeing the All-powerful NDFI always being treated as some kind of CFB Royalty.

Like it or not, Notre Dame is part of CFB royalty along with about a dozen other schools.
