🏈 So I hear you guys bought up a bunch of SEC championship tickets?

It sure would be a shame for those to find their way into Auburn fans hands. Especially when us Gamecocks fans want to see us beat the hell out of them. I know Bama fans don't care for us much, but i gotta think you would love to see us kick their tails. A really good way to see that those tix end up in the right place would be to sell them to us.

It feels so good to do the right thing.

Fox, guess you don't know how the process works since SC has never played in the SECCG. No school can EVER buy them up. The two schools are ony given a fraction of the total tickets for that game. Unless fans are buying them up on Stubhub it can't happen. And FWIW I haven't talked to one fellow Tide fan that has already bought SECCG tickets.

I wish the best to the South Carolina Gamecocks. If they can't beat Auburn, then my second choice is for complete and catastrophic failure of the facilities. Could the entire Florida team be there as well, to watch?

Just kiddin...Good luck Carolina. You're gonna need it against a semi-professional, paid team like Auburn.

If you continue to buy tickets, they are perpetual. You get first crack at them each year. They are a good investment, generally. The Arkansas vs Florida year was the worst. I gave my tickets away that year.

Im not even sure that game sold out Chief. I cant remember the exact reasons for this .(clearly they were expensive and it was the first time)

Its amazing to think that was an easy ticket looking back

Once the game moved to ATL its been GOLD

I wouldn't look for a really big contingent from the Barn. I have a friend that is a ticket broker and he said that Barn fans are the cheapest fan base there is besides Florida. Now he is a Barner as well and that is saying something when one will call his own cheap azzes!!!

Tickets actually weren't that much that year. Keep in mind that tickets to the Bama home games that year went for $18/each face value. My dad and a friend of mine bought tickets--his buddy couldn't go and agreed to trade the ticket to my dad for a game program and the ticket stub back. I'm almost positive tickets to the game were less than $40.

I certainly don't remember a full house either, granted I was 11, but the official attendance of record is 83,091 which was Legion Field's capacity at its largest. I remember many, many empty seats. It was absolutely cold as hell!

I'm thinking $20 each. We spent the night and there was an ice storm the next day. It was a bit chilly. I don't remember there being too many empty seats. The Florida fans were generally obnoxious then, just as they are now. One of them two rows down from us got so drunk he passed out sometime early in the second quarter. He awoke just after the half, puked, and passed out again. He may still be there for all I know.

Koz, they ran advertisements for the tickets during televised games during the season if memory serves. Looking back, it sure has been a long time ago now. My son was six and too small to go and really enjoy the game. I went with my father. I'd give almost anything to be able to go to just one more game with him.

Okay guys, shoot me if you must but I have to admit that I proudly hooked up a co-worker and Auburn fan today with tickets to the SECCG from another friend and Georgia alumni who has gotten two every year since the game moved to Atlanta. After reading this, I kind of wish a USC fan was sitting in those seats but feel if the shoe was on the other foot the co-worker would have done the same for me.
