🏈 So how can we go about getting #14???

I would say the shortest path to #14 is to improve the passing game. On defense, we will replace a lot of seniors (and maybe a junior or two) with sophomores and freshmen. Plus we may lose an assistant coach or two. That has to pay a toll. To cover up for the additional points we will give up on defense, we need to score more points on offense. I don’t believe the running game needs improvement and almost everybody is returning. The passing game has almost everyone returning as well, but there is a lot of room for improvement there. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I think we can double the output of Julio, Maze, and Hanks, increase our scoring output by about 10 points per game, and be a top team again.

It may seem to early to even be thinking about it, and admittedly, I'm still on Cloud 9000 right now, but next year's goal has to be balance on offense.

We spent so much time this year depending on running backs to win the game for us, and that is not a great strategy if you have to play from behind. Granted, we didn't play from behind much, but that's largely due to the defense. The D will lose some talent, so the offense must learn to mix the pass and the run very well. We've got too much receiving talent to be using it for blocking.

it may be harder next year. penn st. and the gators are on our schedule. we have several opponents coming off a bye week too, some on the road. no doubt we will have a great team though. hopefully we will have some luck along the way also.
