🏈 Smart to UGA?

I realize there have been some threads already bouncing this around but not after the SEC CG. BUT, I live in mid-GA & all the talk radio shows & blogs are saying that UGA is making a strong push for Smart now that 'Bama showed folks how to beat UF defensively.

So, now that SEC CG is over is there really a chance that Smart will go to UGA in a lateral move as a defensive coordinator?

I have heard him and Coach Richt do not get along. I also do not know why he would go to a GA team that is hurting when he has a team he is with right now in the hunt for a National Championship. The good career move for him is to stay here until he gets offered a head coaching job which would probably be after next season.

I am as sure of this as anything I have ever posted. Smart will not leave BAMA until he gets a HC position and if he was to make a lateral move it would not be to GA while Richt is there.

Spot on. I wouldn't even call Bama to UGA a lateral move RIGHT NOW. I'd say it's a bit of step down. He's in a perfect situation with Saban where he can compete for a National Championship this year and can probably do the same next year.

I've heard from several leg humper fans here in Ga. that Kirby and Richt wouldn't work together. I think the only way Kirby would head off to UGA is if they can Richt and that ain't gonna happen too soon.
