I asked about some of the new comers today, specifically Minkah Fitzpatrick the reply from my staff source on where he would play " Any f*cking place he wants. He is that good."

But that is awesome to hear about Fitz. He should be a beast when we bulk him up another 45 pounds and put him on the edge :neener_neener: (<-- I am going with this as the "troll" emoji)

Good to hear! He got abused a little in whichever all-star game he played in, was a little worried it may take some growing pains before he was ready to play.

Now that I think of it, it may have been a couple Bama players that took it to him in the all-star game (Barnett/Harris/Ridley/Charlot).

I remember CamRob getting abused a few times in one of those games as well.... seemed to have the same issue that Fluker had when it came to pass blocking. It has turned out well for him

Eddie is playing strong safety. He has been at free as well. He doesn't have elite corner speed but he has a nose for the ball and he likes to hit. It was a stupid decision to put him at corner he is a natural safety and has proven it. He will be good.

Also Geno is playing free mostly but he may sit a few games so expect a ronnie/hootie duo.

That was going to be my next question, how much you think Bootie will play. I hope to see him get some meaningful reps early so he will be ready come October.

Ronnie and hootie gave secured positions in star and money for sure. Practice will tell if they claim ss or fs. Now the key here is that they already beat out maurice smith and Gabriel Washington both always seem lost.

It will be cyrus and brown. Sylve backup for brown and hump for cyrus. As it stands now. Practice may change things some.

I came away from spring camp with the impression if they were to play today it would be Sylve then Tony.

One thing I find a little crazy is I can easily see Maurice getting a good amount of playing time and when I think about a rotation/depth chart he could end up running with the three's. He and Jabriel are sort of interchangeable in where they fit.

As good as Ronnie is now (and going to be) the thought of him as a back-up for Geno makes me pause.

Brown got the nod but things can and will change a bit in practice. I will have a detailed report from practice each day. Mo smith and Washington are huge liabilities.
