šŸ“ Signing Day countdown: Where Alabama offensive targets stand now

With two and a half more weeks until National Signing Day, Alabama's 2015 class is nearly full.

Each week leading in, we'll take a look at the top offensive and defensive targets remaining. Some are committed to other schools and could be considered longshots, but we'll update you on their statuses anyway.

Offensively, it looks like Alabama's top needs include another wide receiver or two and possibly another offensive tackle.

This is the second weekend of official visits in the month of January for prospects signing on Feb. 4.

Daylon Charlot (WR, Patterson, La.)

Charlot made an official visit to Alabama over the weekend and remains a top target for the Crimson Tide. LSU is also in the mix and the 4-star receiver has visits to Arizona State this week and Miami on the final weekend.

K.J. Hill (WR, North Little Rock, Ark.)

Hill's chances with Alabama could be emerging. He officially visited Alabama over the weekend and decommitted from Arkansas. He's visiting Ohio State this weekend and likely Arkansas the weekend before Signing Day.

Lawrence Cager (WR, Towson, Md.)

Cager is committed to Miami but enjoyed his Alabama official visit over the weekend. The 6-foot-5 Cager is visiting Miami this week and could take an unofficial visit to Auburn the next weekend.

Terry Godwin (WR/ATH, Hogansville, Ga.)

The 5-star Godwin is a Georgia commitment but visited Auburn over the weekend and is visiting Alabama this weekend.

Drew Richmond (OT, Memphis, Tenn.)

Richmond had to cancel his official visit to Alabama over the weekend and it's unclear if he will return. He's been committed to Ole Miss since last September.

Chidi Valentine-Okeke (OT, Ludowici, Ga.)

The 6-foot-6, 305-pound tackle officially visited Alabama in December. The Army All-American was upgraded to 5 stars on the 247Sports individual rankings. He visited LSU over the weekend. He doesn't yet have a visit lined up for this weekend but has already officially visited Alabama, LSU, Auburn and Georgia.

Isaiah Prince (OT, Greenbelt, Md.)

The 4-star Prince visited Alabama over the weekend and is going to Ohio State this weekend. Maryland seems to be the favorite.

Johnny Frasier (RB, Princeton, N.C.)

Frasier's official visit to Alabama was canceled at the last minute and he could either keep his commitment to Florida State or stay home at North Carolina State or Duke. Regardless, Alabama seems full at the position.

Quarvez Boulware (OL, Washington, D.C.)

Boulware also canceled his Alabama official visit and committed to Maryland. This will be the last week he's listed on the targets list.

Antonio Callaway (WR, Miami, Fla.)

The 3-star recruit is listed as having an official visit to Alabama this weekend, per 247Sports. He visited Miami over the weekend and reportedly has a midweek visit to Auburn and a visit to Florida on Jan. 30.

  • Of note, Buffalo, N.Y., tight end/defensive end Tyrone Wheatley will be profiled with the defensive targets on Tuesday.

I read on some site that the OT from Maryland, Isaiah Prince doesn't have a committable offer or they may not have room for him. We can read this one or two ways. The Ole Piss commit, Drew Richmond is flipping to us or the recently crowned 5* OT Chide Valentine-Okeke is going to Roll with the TIDE.

I read on some site that the OT from Maryland, Isaiah Prince doesn't have a committable offer or they may not have room for him.

I saw someone paraphrase Prince's coach stating we were sitting at 27 with no room.

That means there's a silent verbal out there. I'm still of the opinion we have a flip, or two, before signing day.

@TerryP, looking at 247sports and it seems that UGA is trending for current BAMA commit Rico McGraw.

I believe that's a direct result of Kendall Sheffield's verbal three weeks ago. Custis is another I'd keep an eye on.

There's a lot of moving parts right now, ya know? Honestly, if we lost two defensive backs and were able to pick up two wide receivers in exchange? Seems like a win to me...

I'm still looking for that one true LT to come in as well.
It's my opinion Richmond sticks with the Black Bears. (He does have an official visit scheduled.) There's too much smoke for there not to be any fire in saying Isaiah Prince is "iffy." No room now, but there could be room in the next few weeks so it makes me believe just scratching him isn't accurate.

It's my opinion it all comes down to Chidi Valentine Okeke and his academics. If he's a go, he's a take. If he's not, we're back to Prince.

In my opinion, I feel the OT wish list falls like this. Drew Richmond ( had an OV scheduled here last weekend but cancelled ; now OV here on Jan. 30th now according to Bone), Chidi Valentine-Okeke, and then Isaiah Prince from Maryland. I think it is a win - win either way we go. CVO is currently ranked the highest of the three, followed by Richmond and Prince. All three reside inside the Top 10 at their position. All three are 6'5"+ and over 300+ with the exception of Prince.

What I see as an argument is CVO, a player who needs a lot of work, polish and some time to grow up, but Prince is likely more ready to play, isn't he? I mean, the fact of selecting pure talent or readiness? Huh? However, I like a lot what Richmond has to offer. They talk a lot about Barrett Jones Second Part.
