So I’m heading into academy this morning. As I’m walking in about 15 feet into the store this guy comes walking at a quick pace with his sweat shirt bulging from something. As I walked by I reached out and snatched him up off his feet and pinned him down with a knee. As I do this about $500 worth of fishing reels goes tumbling out on the floor. The “staff” just froze (all of them early 20 something young ladies). I had to tell them to call the security office. I had to answer a few questions, got dirty looks by most of the employees. A thank you and a gift card from a manager. Asked if I had to be so violent by a purple hair. Patted on the back by a man that saw how I put one hand behind his head so it didn’t bounce off the floor.
So I went about and picked up some crappie setups like nothing had happened. By the time I made it back to the registers, people were shocked I just continued on with my plans and didn’t need to go clear my head. People are something else!!! About 10different people with about 6 different reactions!!!

His post made me think of shoplifting I've seen. I think this is the worst. And yes, I said something.

Circle K. A guy is having the lady in front of him buy him a beer. I'm behind him in line and see him pocket a few things to eat. I waited until she paid.

So, she's buying you a beer but you aren't paying for the food in your pocket.

Good for you ! Maybe a well placed elbow would have helped the situation?

He didn’t put up much of a struggle when he was down or he probably would’ve gotten a few. He took one short shot at my ribs. Not much behind it.

Funnest job I had was a bodyguard for cheer team for completions and a bodyguard gig for miss teen Florida. One team was my responsibility for the cheer comps and I had 1 I was responsible for at the miss teen.

It's about a half of an hour to any store like these. It's the kind of place I would wander around; like HD and Lowe's have become. And those aren't my tackle shops (which aren't any closer.)

Mine is a 7 1/2’ lews, slip cork with fathead minnows.

I've seen those. Looks like a nice one piece.

Any kind of float works where I am...hell, $3 set of snap-on's from Walmart will.

I know the lady who owns one of the condo's so I fish off the deck of her place. 30', maybe more, to that island. The beds move, but not much. The building is public...you can see a dock there were you can put a kayak in...I don't for crappie. It's just my Bream Buster and a ... said that. Easy pickin'. I haven't hit it this year. It'll take a day or two to find the beds.

In that weather thread I mention how it seems like spring is moving in early. The high 70's, low 80's might bring the temp up enough to start...otherwise I'll get out there two, three weeks. It tends to start hitting late March. It's about like Oyster season...you're quitting after a few months. About May or so the water gets too hot.
