Swamp I'll try my best at paraphrasing it...
He opened with saying he was glad we signed who we have. He likes the class but hates some kids don't get a shot at signing with the Tide due to rules, regs, etc. Seemed to imply turning some away due to other commitments. He then said that just because we signed X amount of guys or their ratings in HS does not mean much now. Said a reference just because you buy a stock today means it will be anything in 2-3 years (watch someone hang onto that reference I'm sure). That it has to develop. Basically went on about how The Process starts now. That they have to work to become something special. He feels this is a great character class and they filled the roles they wanted. Very athletic bunch. He really thanked the fans for their support both at BDS and at away games but also media, in person, etc. That is helps influence recruits. Thanked the current players for their help in recruiting. Thanked the coaches, families, etc.
1st question was asked about what CNS thought about 5+ RB's...
CNS: Death stare. Loved it. Said well I don't look at it as 5+ RBs is a big deal. We have a 1000 yarder returning. A freshman with a few carries. 2 hurt guys that may or may not recover how they expect after their injuries. Said he likes having 5+ RBs. He rotates 3 most of the time and likes to have backups so he doesn't really see the big deal of 5+ RBs. Then went off on the guy about in a fantasy world that 5+ RBs must mean a big deal lmao.
When asked on if Saban changed his recruiting philosophy...
CNS: we didnt really change. The spread offense is here. NFL uses it. Referenced RJ3 and CC. Said we need to adapt and be even more athletic than them and that's why we went after who we did.
When asked about Reuben's tweets today regarding his apologies to UGA, AU and UA fans and if CNS thought he had charater issues:
CNS: He thinks Reuben is a great guy. He thinks Reuben has a big heart and wants to please everyone. Reuben found out that is a hard task if not impossible to do. He thinks its a lot on these kids today with all the attention they get and CNS couldn't imagine how he would handle it if he were 17-18 YO again. Joked with the media about how he loves them and that he would never put part of that blame on them lol. Then said that what some people may look at as "character flaws" (he did his typical quoting fingers there

) for Reuben caring about people said he looks at it as a positive that you can channel that heart. He thinks Reuben chose the Tide because Reuben wants that structure in his life and wants the goals and ambitions in life to become a good man/player. He said that Alabam was best to provide him that and that's why Reuben chose the Tide.
When asked about the QB signing situation...
CNS: Correcting guy on how many he signed and that again it's not a situation to him. Said that people may think its a seniority thing. That if you've been here longer than a new guy that means you're the next starter. CNS told them they're wrong lol. He said if anything just because you've been here longer just means you've had more chances than the new guy but that doesn't mean much. Said that he's glad Luke and Cooper are here. Said they are here to replace AJ when he leaves. Said that he feels AJ will do a good job grooming them.
Overall it was a good presser. Saban looked very pleased and he said signed who we wanted. Somehow don't think we are done quite yet but we'll see tonight. One thing is for sure I think the QB battle this spring will be awesome to see how will be the successor to AJ!
