šŸˆ See how much 10 SEC programs get from Nike, Adidas or Under Armour

Ever wonder how much footwear giants pay SEC schools to wear their apparel?

BizJournals.com did a feature on Nike, Adidas and Under Armour and how much they pay every school, and you can read about the study here.

You can also view specific details of each school in the details link column below, and if the schools aren’t included, the university likely didn’t respond to the request.

Nike, Adidas and Under Armour will pour more than $250 million into athletic departments this year. Michigan has the largest account in the database with Adidas, which pays the university $4.4 million and another $3.8 million in cash annually.

As you can see below, LSU gets the most from the apparel allowance with $3.1 million with Nike, while Auburn gets the most cash from Under Armour at $1.75 million.

Arkansas, Mississippi State, Tennessee or Vanderbilt weren’t included in the database.

We're being horribly underpaid if those numbers are accurate.

Based on merchandise sales?

I see no reason to doubt the numbers—they came by way of a FOIA request. If you follow the first link in the article you can read the agreement with Nike. It's worth the time to read over...IF you have it.

One thing of note: while the cash payment doesn't increase the contract does go up 100K per year until the contract is over (or renegotiated) in 2018.

I hope we stay with Nike and don't jump on the Under Armor fad bandwagon. I think Nike takes care of our guys, offers amazing products to us, and they're the world's number one sports company. They're pricey, but I think it's high quality stuff as well. I have always been a fan of Nike since I was a little boy, and I will never buy anything other than Nike when it comes to sports.

This shows that Nike pays LSU more than Alabama.

Dude, I warned you if you kept making comments that the members here would start flying into you.

Normally, I try my dead level best to maintain an order of civility; even with rival fans.

But good lord almighty, you've decided to play house here. As it ends up, you've assumed the role of the door and you're going to get slammed.
