🏈 SEC/Top 25 Games of the Week (9-1)

Mark Richt made the comment that teams have lost their first game and still made it back to win a championship. I don't have much doubt that's happened in a conference race, but a championship race? As in, the national title? I don't recall that happening--anyone?

Don't think so. Maybe Ohio State when they lost to VaTech Sept. 6, 2014. But as we know it was also their 2nd game of the season.

Hard to say whether Tigers that good or Canes that bad...Miami QB play was awful....or whether it was a big game and Ritch ....well we know how his teams play in big games.....Lsu sure looked good though...

They really played well last night. The defense was overwhelming. I thought their offensive line and running back situation were still open for debate, but if they play this well they will only get better. They didn't sell out their identity for a modern offense which would have been a big mistake. But they took more snaps in the shotgun last night than the last 3 years together. They just needed to get out of the phone booth that Michigan just can't seem to leave. The Pistol is going to let them play fast, run downhill and spread folks out. Everything Orgeron was trying to fix from Matt Canada's short stay.

Told y'all LSU would be a decent team, when was the last time they weren't? I don't mind Coach O like 98% of y'all. I actually like his style and crazyness, compared to a lot of others out there. Ha, LSU is just laughing at Texas right now and how that all shook down. Sure, Herman may have better long term success at a place like Texas, but as we've all said, it's win now in college football.

I'm not saying LSU is a title contender, but they went out after all the talk about them getting ready to have a "rough year" and whipped Turnover Chains ass and never looked back. A Top 10 team through the coaches and AP that they just beat down. I am happy to see the SEC do well against the Pac-12 and ACC, though all teams were in the West, it still gives the league some fire and respect with the dropoff we see in the East.

The nation overreacts to Oregeron and his tactics, but it does work for his team. They may very well drop an easy one, like last year with Troy, but they will also have the chance to take out an Auburn if Auburn ain't ready, again.

Did you see anyone in the West that didn't look like they received a massive upgrade in coaching this weekend? Joe Burrows went 11/24 for 140 yards, 0 TDs, no interceptions. A long way to go on the newest reinvention but I thought they showed a lot of promise. But right now Joe Burrow gave them a Danny Etling performance in a better offensive scheme.

@BamaFan334
A lot of crap dropped on O....mine came from his time at ole ms....
Not to hard to like the guy though....Lsu has been plagued by QB play poor...Joe did ok and good story about him.....coming to lsu
