🏈 SEC refs stink

Call me a conspiracy theorist if you want, but Alabama got screwed by the refs tonight. I think that crews hates us. We seem to also get a lot of penalties when we get them......If we never get that crew again it would be too soon.

S Carolina got away with numerous holds and etc. We got called for every little thing.

Arkansas got a shaft job too against Florida. What do you think?

I think most of our calls against us were warranted. I did see some plays on SC that should of been called and weren't, but that's football and every game....

By no means was this officiating crew near as bad as the ones down in Gainesville today.

yea the Arky-Florida game refs were horrendous there were several bad no calls in this one tho. on one of the plays were Garcia scrambled out of the pocket and completed a 3rd down & long there was a hold and a block in the back on the same play right in front of the officials face.

The Arkansas vs the fighting Tebow's game had some pretty bad call too

If anyone today has a dog in this fight (or post/argument/whatever) it's Arkansas. SEC refs once again proved today that they are, at the very least, incompetent, if not downright corrupt.

I've said it a million times. There is a reason certain schools like Florida get the meaningful calls when a game is on the line. Money drives it all. When Arkansas blew those scoring opps the writing was on the wall. There was no way Florida would lose this one. No one would allow them to.

I must agree! Florida couldn't lose today with officials on their side. False starts ignored, offensive pass interference ignored, holds ignored and it even looked as if the chains and ball placement were manipulated on a particular Tebow run. Oh - and when they commented "There is the Tebow passion......." after he made a play, you wondered why with everyone else it is excessive celebration but with Tebow it is emotion.....I saw individual, personal chest beating show-boating and not that I favor that particular rule but it never seems to apply to Tebow.
:headscratch:

Chopper, if Alabama had not had some bad calls against them, I would almost be convinced that the SEC powers have instructed the refs to make sure the top two SEC teams remain undefeated, wanting to make sure that the SECCG showcased two undefeated teams and that the undefeated winner would play for the NC. But since Bama's not getting calls their way these last two weeks, it's hard for me to believe something like that is a possibility . . . but I swear that Florida/Arky game seemed rigged.

You are half right there. They are making sure one remains undefeated and plays for the NC. And we don't have to have a poll to determine which one.

What else is new?! SEC officials are some of the worst in the NCAA and it was pretty evident yesterday. Just look at the Georgia vs. Vandy, the refs threw a flag for "leaping" on a blocked FG that led to Georgia moving up and making their second chance right before the half.

I'm not sure if we get our officials from the left overs or send them to the Helen Keller School of Officiating, but there needs to a school in place for all college officials to go to just like they do in the NFL.

i think i remember seeing that bama had 18 penalties.. is that correct?.. and there were 28 in the game.. that is not to say alabama got the shaft, but that is an unheard of amount of penalties..

sometimes to me the penalties hurt timing and momentum just because of the pause of the game more than anything.. oh and the loss of yardge too, but momentun and timing.. it hurts that the second most...

I seen on the Tebow channel, aka ESPN, they had 10 penalties for 113 yards...FWIW
