Featuring the finest collegiate gymnastics competition in the nation, the 2014 Southeastern Conference Gymnastics Championship is slated for Saturday, March 22 at the BJCC Arena in Birmingham, Ala. The first session begins at 2 p.m. CT, while the second session begins at 6 p.m. CT.
The SEC Gymnastics Championship will feature six of the nationās top-15 teams, including four teams among the top-six nationally. Florida, the defending NCAA Champion, is ranked No. 1, while LSU is No. 2. Alabama checks in at No. 4, while Georgia is No. 6. Auburn is ranked 12th and Arkansas is 15th.
The one-day, eight-team format features two sessions. Seeds five through eight will compete in the first session beginning at 2 p.m. CT, while seeds 1-4 will compete in the second session beginning at 6 p.m. CT. Seeding is based on final regular-season RQS.

Three different SEC teams ā Alabama, Florida and Georgia ā have won NCAA Gymnastics Championships.
Florida captured its first NCAA Championship in program history in 2013. Four SEC teams advanced to the Super Six at last seasonās NCAA Championships. The SEC has placed at least two teams among the top six in 30 of the possible 32 NCAA Championship events.
Eight of the nationās top-10 all-around performers this season hail from the SEC, including each of the top-three. Floridaās Bridget Sloan is the top all-arounder nationally, followed by LSUās Rheagan Courville and Arkansasā Katherine Grable.
