I go out to New Mexico every year and chase Merriam Turkey's. Blew by that last year on the way home. My hunting buddy's in-laws (From T-town) had just been out west and stopped in there. Said it was the worst steak they ever had. Definite tourist trap.

Well damn, hate to here its went down hill. We use to go out to Raton NM and play golf with my uncle that lived out there. Uncle's long past now and that was a few years ago. Back then, it was some count.

Not to totally divert the thread, but there is a Blue Bell Creamery in Sylacauga. They do tours through there that are great if you have kids. We took ours when they were young and absolutely loved it. Cheap and you get to sample all the flavors at the end of the tour and then get a cup/cone of your choice. Great summer activity for little ones.
