šŸˆ Say One Thing Nice About Ohio (the state not the school)

Harvey Lewis is from there. He set the World Record for a last man standing event this year. (Running 4.167 miles every hour on the hour until there is only one person left. Running for 85 laps (and hours) and 354.195 miles. #Badass

What is your running background rueben? I ran at Alabama a while back and own a running store. I also have friends in the ultra running world and I have noticed a couple of posts you have made about ultra events.

As far as organized Ultras... a 50 mile and a handful of 50 K's. Mostly Yeti Trail Races, in Damascus Va. and Sweetwater State Park in ATL. I was going to do the Pinhoti 100 this year, but I had a rough time at Yeti Snakebite this fall, and knew I was not ready for Pinhoti. I think I could have done the distance, but not the climbing involved. I hired a coach (Becca Jones of BMFJ Endurance.) After talking with her she has convinced me to do a Last Man Standing event. That will be in Franklin Tn. in June, so I focusing primarily on that. Its a 1.1 mile loop, every 20 minutes until there is only one person left. One mile in 20 minutes is not that hard, however there is 340' of elevation per loop. So by the time you've done a 5K, its over 1000' of climbing in an hour. Living here in the "Coastal Plains" of Alabama, its going to be fun to train for that., LOL.
I do however like getting up and going for an adventure run from the house and when I'm done, calling Miss Amy to come pick me up. #GumpLike.
(sorry Mike for the slight derail 😬)

Very cool. I started the Black Warrior 50K when I lived in Florence, AL. I moved to Georgia 15 years ago though. I have been a pacer at night for a friend at Pinhoti. Pretty tough race for sure. Good luck in June and happy training!

I have found another reason to like Ohio. If this started out "Florida man..." I would have just scrolled on past. But, this is O.H.I.O.

Steal a car? Okay. A bike? Okay. But, steal a ... bridge?
