As far as organized Ultras... a 50 mile and a handful of 50 K's. Mostly Yeti Trail Races, in Damascus Va. and Sweetwater State Park in ATL. I was going to do the Pinhoti 100 this year, but I had a rough time at Yeti Snakebite this fall, and knew I was not ready for Pinhoti. I think I could have done the distance, but not the climbing involved. I hired a coach (Becca Jones of BMFJ Endurance.) After talking with her she has convinced me to do a Last Man Standing event. That will be in Franklin Tn. in June, so I focusing primarily on that. Its a 1.1 mile loop, every 20 minutes until there is only one person left. One mile in 20 minutes is not that hard, however there is 340' of elevation per loop. So by the time you've done a 5K, its over 1000' of climbing in an hour. Living here in the "Coastal Plains" of Alabama, its going to be fun to train for that., LOL.
I do however like getting up and going for an adventure run from the house and when I'm done, calling Miss Amy to come pick me up. #GumpLike.
(sorry Mike for the slight derail
